Faithful dog Hachi-ko is an Akita remembered in Japan for his remarkable loyalty. Hachi-ko would wait diligently for his owner’s return from work at Shibuya Station in Tokyo daily. This unyielding devotion continued even nine years after his owner’s passing. In 1934, a statue of Hachi-ko was erected at Shibuya Station and is a popular meeting spot.
Hachi-ko aims to builds upon these existing beliefs of loyalty and family as “your faithful, traveler gathering spot,” offering a location devoted to Asian cuisine for the traveling public.
